The FG and ASUU are at odds: the Minister is absent at NANS, and students are protesting.

ABUJA, Nigeria — Malam Adamu Adamu walked out on students protesting the government's and ASUU's ongoing feud. The students were led by NANS President, Comrade Sunday Asefon, under the banner of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS. Meanwhile, student protests erupted in a number of major cities around the country. The students, led by Yazid Tanko Mohammed, claimed they were always on the receiving end of the government's and ASUU's squabbles. "We're urging the federal government to learn how to follow through on commitments," he added.

"ASUU has been on strike since 2009, and students have always been the victims of the strike," he continued.

Under the banner of the National Association of Nigerian Students and Joint Campus Committee, NANS/JCC, Osun axis, some students in Osun State flooded the streets in the state capital, Osogbo, yesterday to protest the FGASUU catastrophe. Some students in Osun State's capital, Osogbo, took to the streets to protest the FGASUU disaster. Because the FG failed to renegotiate the 2009 agreement, ASUU has been on strike since February 14. The government's delegation is anticipated to comprise Adamu Adamu, the Education Minister, and Dr. Chris Ngige, the Labour Minister. In the meantime, another round of talks between the two parties is set to take place in Abuja today.
