As a result, the thought that former President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan might run for President in 2023 is perplexing. Currently, the APC has more former PDP National Chairmen and officials within its ranks than the PDP.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo aided the APC's victory against the PDP in 2015. As strange as this may appear to Europeans and Americans, in Nigeria it appears to be a familiar trajectory of politicians who easily cross over from one political party to another; as of today, the APC has more former PDP National Chairmen and officials as members than the PDP; the APC is populated by former PDP Governors and PDP legislators, including former Senate Presidents and House Speakers.
It's sad that the majority of the charges leveled against Jonathan have little to do with Nigeria's growth.
